A European travel tech startup in Paris seeks a talented interface designer to enhance customer experiences across web and mobile platforms. You will be responsible for sketching wireframes, designing interactions, and ensuring every detail is impeccable. Ideal candidates have strong skills in copywriting, problem solving, prototyping, and a good grasp of HTML and CSS. If you are passionate about creating user-friendly interfaces and enjoy tackling design challenges, we want to hear from you.
We have a simple yet ambitious goal; to sell train tickets in the easiest way possible for all European destinations. Booking a train should be just as simple as hopping on a train.
Capitaine Train was founded by 3 engineers obsessed with simplicity. Our organisational structure is very simple and linear: those who make product decisions are the same ones who build them. We are a young and small start-up (40 people) and we are growing very quickly. Your work will have a direct and visible impact on the growth of our company.
Our beautiful office is located in the heart of Paris. We’re surrounded by bars, restaurants, theatres, startups and are near the four main Parisian train stations. We offer a great package including fixed and variable salaries, an awesome health coverage plan plus stock options.
You
Everyday, you are complaining that [insert popular startup]’s interface is broken. You might have already redesigned it for fun. You know how to design great interfaces that people use and enjoy.
You know that doing simple things is the hardest thing in the world and that each problem needs its own solution. You like to handle hundreds of parameters in your head and solve each of them to get a result that seems obvious.
Role
You will design the experience of our customers on our web, iOS and Android platforms. You will sketch wireframes and design interactions, and make them as clear as possible for the product and engineering team. You will make sure of every detail and every word. You will paint the back of the fence.
