Schedule

Monday — Friday. No weekends, no holidays.

We are looking for a Full‑Time Dental Assistant to join our supportive and collaborative team. SUMMARY

Under the direct supervision of the Dental Manager and in collaboration with the Dental Director, the assistant must assist the dentist during the examination and treatment of patients by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
  • Provide knowledgeable assistance to the treating dentist.
  • Assume responsibility for initial dental laboratory needs.
  • Initiate and maintain diagnostic and treatment records.
  • Perform and/or conduct a variety of routine and non‑routine technical procedures while providing direct chair‑side assistance to the treating dentist.
  • Takes intra‑oral and pantographic x‑ray films of dental patients at the direction of the treating dentist.
  • Places and removes temporary crowns, takes dental impressions, and places dental and conditioning materials at the direction of the treating dentist.
  • Perform required laboratory work, trim and pour diagnostic models, fabricate temporaries, baseplates and templates for crown and bridge work, write laboratory prescriptions, and prepare models for mailing to outside laboratory technicians.
  • Regular and prompt attendance at work.
  • Required to walk, stand (for extended periods), crouch, use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach forward with hands and arms.
  • Cleans and maintains equipment used in procedures, maintains organized tray set‑up for the treating dentist, and assures the sterile condition of rooms.
  • Maintains a courteous, helpful and conscientious attitude in dealing with co‑workers and patients and their families, ensuring professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
  • All other duties assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • Certificate as a Dental Assistant from a college or technical school preferred.
  • Must be X‑ray certified.
  • Customer service experience required.
  • Three to six months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
