Job summary

Nevid Dental in Pawling, NY is seeking a Dental Assistant to support our clinical team by delivering high-quality patient care within a collaborative environment.

You will assist dentists during procedures, prepare treatment rooms, take X-rays, and maintain patient records. A minimum of one year of experience and a high school diploma are required; OSHA/HIPAA/CPR training is expected.

Qualifications

• 1 year on-the-job experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Dental Assistants are expected to maintain OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training annually.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake.
• Assist dentists in managing dental and medical emergencies with CPR certification and emergency supplies.
