A leading technology consulting firm is seeking a Database Administrator to manage and optimize database performance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring system performance, addressing user-reported issues, protecting the database from unauthorized access, and ensuring data integrity and recoverability. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field along with proficiency in data manipulation languages such as MS SQL, Oracle Database, Hadoop, or PostgreSQL. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Advanced certification as an MCDBA or MCSD for .NET is advantageous.
• Proficiency in data manipulation languages, including MS SQL, Oracle Database, Hadoop, or PostgreSQL.

Responsabilités

• Monitor system performance and identify problems that arise.
• Respond to user-reported errors in a timely manner.
• Protect the database against threats or unauthorized access.
• Ensure database is backed up and recoverable during memory loss.
• Report on metrics regarding usage and performance.
• Suggest changes and improvements for maintenance or protection.
• Liaise regularly with IT project managers and database programmers.
• Design databases considering both front-end and back-end users.
