Scaleway in Rennes is seeking a Database Administrator to maintain and enhance database infrastructure. You will work collaboratively within a team to ensure scalability and performance of our internal and public-facing databases. The ideal candidate has solid experience with RDBMS (PostgreSQL or MySQL), strong Linux skills, and familiarity with automation tools like Ansible and Docker. Qualifications

• Solid experience in administering at least one major RDBMS (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle).
• Ability to deploy and maintain databases, including high availability, replication, and backups.
• Strong Linux system administration skills and experience with Bash scripting.
• Comfortable working with automation and infrastructure tools.
• Development experience in Python or Go is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Maintain and evolve internal databases including updates and bug fixes.
• Contribute to the maintenance of public database services.
• Diagnose and resolve incidents affecting databases.
• Deploy new database instances and design robust backup strategies.
• Collaborate with developers and other DBAs to guide database usage.
