CODIX is looking for an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to analyze and optimize application performance, focusing on SQL tuning and database configuration. The role requires a minimum of 1.5 years of hands-on experience and proficiency in Oracle diagnostics tools like AWR and Statspack.

You will continuously monitor database systems and engage with developers to drive performance improvements. Professional English proficiency is essential.

Responsibilities

• Analyze & Optimize: Partner with developers and system designers to investigate application performance and propose scalable solutions
• SQL Tuning: Review and optimize complex SQL statements to improve execution speeds and resource consumption
• DB Configuration: Fine-tune Oracle Database parameters to meet high-availability and workload demands
• Proactive Monitoring: Monitor database systems continuously to detect, diagnose, and resolve bottlenecks before they impact users
• Innovation: Research and evaluate emerging database technologies to drive continuous improvement

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 1.5 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA or Database Tuning Specialist
• Core Skills: Proven track record in manual SQL tuning, analyzing SQL Execution Plans, and utilizing SQL Hints
• Tools: Proficiency with Oracle monitoring and diagnostics tools (AWR, Statspack, or SQL Trace)
• Coding: Practical knowledge of PL/SQL, shell and shell scripting
• Language: Professional working proficiency in English
