Job summary

Diabolocom is seeking a Software Development Team Lead for the Data2 Squad. You will drive architectural vision, guide a multidisciplinary team, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.

You will mentor engineers, own technical direction, and contribute hands-on to Kotlin backend development. You will lead a squad transforming call, email, and message data into actionable insights, while collaborating with product, design, and operations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software development in product-focused companies.
• 5+ years working extensively in Kotlin or Java.
• 3+ years in a people management role.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred).
• Experience with Spring Boot Framework.
• Hands-on backend development expertise; strong engineering culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of engineers: hiring, performance reviews, continuous feedback and day-to-day support.
• Define and drive quarterly, release and sprint planning to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
• Own architectural decisions and technical direction; review designs for performance, scalability, reliability and testability.
• Ensure production stability: monitoring, incident response, post-mortems and corrective actions.
• Define and maintain service contracts to ensure seamless communication between systems.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Infrastructure and Customer Operations to align technical solutions with business needs.
• Contribute personally to back-end development, primarily in Kotlin.
• Participate in the on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 service availability.
