Job summary

Infosys in Lyon seeks a Data Steward acting as a business-facing expert and project manager to steer data initiatives across the data lifecycle. You will bridge business stakeholders with data engineers and visualization specialists, ensuring governance, quality, and value delivery.

You’ll lead cross-functional teams, define scope, specify requirements, and mentor teams in an Agile setting while prioritizing business outcomes and KPI-driven decisions. Fluency in French is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Experience in Digital & Marketing Data projects and E-commerce Data projects.
• Strong understanding of data lifecycle management and business data use cases.
• Ability to define and manage end-to-end data project scope and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements for data initiatives.
• Plan, organize, and manage project execution across cross-functional teams.
• Assign tasks, track progress, and ensure alignment between all stakeholders.
• Act as a key business partner, ensuring stakeholder expectations are clearly understood and achieved.
• Facilitate communication between business users, project managers, analysts, and technical teams involved in Agile delivery.
• Support alignment of data products with business value creation and KPI-driven decision-making.
• Provide functional specifications and requirements for Data Engineers and Data Visualization Experts.
• Ensure that business needs are translated into clear, actionable requirements for implementation.
• Collaborate in solution design to ensure relevance, robustness, and usability of data products.
• Identify project risks and define mitigation strategies proactively.
• Monitor issues continuously and ensure timely resolution to minimize impact.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation across all phases.
• Contribute to data governance practices and adherence to guidelines for sustainable data usage.
