Pauwels Consulting is seeking a seasoned Data Governance Lead to drive analysis, documentation, and implementation of governance frameworks in a data-driven environment. The role focuses on enhancing data discoverability and quality by mapping datasets, metadata, and ownership across departments.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years in data governance, metadata management, or data quality, with 3+ years in data analysis and stakeholder gathering.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data governance, metadata management or data quality.
• 3+ years of experience in data analysis and documenting datasets, metadata, and datastreams.
• 3+ years of experience gathering and structuring information from diverse stakeholders.
• 3+ years of experience in ICT business operations and BPM.

Responsabilités

• Analyze and document datasets, metadata and datastreams to map the information landscape.
• Identify and document data ownership and stewardship roles with business and data teams.
• Define and monitor data quality rules, definitions and governance agreements.
• Register and maintain metadata, terms and ownership in data catalog tools.
• Translate complex stakeholder information into clear overviews, process descriptions and documentation.
• Facilitate adoption of governance agreements within existing data and business processes.
