Job summary

Pierre Fabre Laboratories is seeking a senior data engineer to define and maintain data infrastructure, enabling smooth analysis by Data Science teams. You will own large-scale data pipelines, ensure data quality and secure access across sources.

Responsibilities include data solution design, architecture, and collaboration with stakeholders to drive progress, while staying current with cloud technologies and best practices. English proficiency required; French is valued.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in data engineering with ownership of production-grade cloud data platforms.
• Proven track record leading and developing data engineers.
• Strong experience with AWS and modern data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, SageMaker).
• Advanced SQL and Python skills; experience with data modelling, ETL/ELT, orchestration.
• Experience in data security, metadata, data quality, and secure access.
• Experience in Git, CI/CD, IaC, automated testing, monitoring and incident management.
• Ability to translate ambiguous needs into executable delivery plans and communicate trade-offs.
• Professional fluency in English; French is valued.

Responsibilities

• Define, develop and maintain data infrastructures and data collection/storage tools for efficient analysis.
• Design, test, document and implement data solutions to handle large data sources.
• Apply security rules to data sources and manage access as needed.
• Organize data flows from sources to storage bases and quality-qualify data.
• Ensure usability for Data Analysts and Data Scientists and interoperability between systems.
• Keep abreast of technologies and languages to drive project progress.
