Job summary

AXA is seeking a data engineer to build and maintain a centralized data pipeline for nat cat claims data. You will design and implement an ETL process in Databricks, create a user-friendly interface for data loading, and develop dashboards for self-service analytics across an international environment.

The role requires strong Python/SQL skills, experience with Databricks, and fluency in French and English.

Qualifications

• Engineering or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or Statistics.
• Proficiency in Python and/or R with pandas and PySpark.
• Experience with Databricks (notebooks, Delta Lake, workflows).
• Fluent French and Business English.

Responsibilities

• Build a centralized and reliable data pipeline collecting and cleaning nat cat claims data from multiple sources.
• Develop a user-friendly data loading/extraction interface in Databricks for non-technical users.
• Create an interactive dashboard and data download feature for analytics.
• Document pipeline architecture, data dictionaries, and user guides; follow best practices.
