Valtech in Paris is seeking an experienced Data Engineer specialized in Snowflake and dbt to design, build, and optimize data pipelines in Azure environments. You will work autonomously across data modelling, orchestration, monitoring, and troubleshooting, contributing to scalable, production-grade ELT processes in an international setting.

This is a permanent hybrid role with remote options country-dependent, offering growth opportunities and global collaboration.

Qualifications

• Strong dbt experience: model development, testing, documentation, deployment practices.
• Snowflake production experience: performance optimisation and troubleshooting.
• Advanced SQL skills and understanding of data modelling and layered data architectures.
• Python for data ingestion, transformation, automation and API integration.
• Experience building, maintaining, monitoring and troubleshooting production ELT/data pipelines.
• Azure cloud data services; ability to work across cloud platforms.
• Git, CI/CD and software engineering practices applied to data engineering.
• Ability to work autonomously and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
• Professional English and collaboration in international teams.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and maintain dbt models, tests, and documentation.
• Apply Git, CI/CD to ensure maintainable and reliable data products.
• Collaborate with client teams, architects, analysts and external partners in an international environment.
• Demonstrate deep knowledge of data engineering to build and support robust pipelines in production.
• Develop and maintain documentation for all systems and projects.
• Optimize Snowflake queries and data models for performance, scalability and cost.
