Technicien(ne) de Centre de Données L3

Présentation du poste

Le/la Technicien(ne) de Centre de Données L3 occupe un poste senior et opérationnel, contribuant à la construction et à l’exploitation à long terme d’un nouvel environnement de centre de données de grande envergure destiné aux entreprises.

Ce poste offre une occasion unique de participer à un projet dès ses débuts, à travers une phase de déploiement sur site vierge (« greenfield »), où vous jouerez un rôle clé dans la construction de l’infrastructure, l’installation des équipements et leur mise en service. À mesure que le site passera en phase de production, vous continuerez à faire partie de l’équipe principale chargée des opérations courantes, garantissant la continuité et la responsabilité technique sur l’ensemble du cycle de vie de l’environnement.

Vous interviendrez dans les domaines des serveurs, des réseaux et des infrastructures, en prenant en charge des tâches techniques complexes et en agissant comme une ressource essentielle sur site. Il s’agit d’un poste à fort impact, particulièrement adapté aux techniciens capables de travailler de manière autonome et de contribuer aussi bien à la construction qu’à l’exploitation d’infrastructures critiques.

Vous collaborerez étroitement avec les équipes d’ingénierie et d’exploitation, dont beaucoup sont basées à l’international. D’excellentes compétences en anglais, à l’écrit comme à l’oral, sont donc indispensables à la réussite dans ce poste.

Principales responsabilités

• Réaliser les opérations de montage et d’intégration en baie (« rack & stack »), l’installation du matériel et le câblage structuré durant la phase de construction.
• Participer aux activités de mise en service, notamment le démarrage des systèmes, leur validation et les tests.
• Effectuer le provisionnement et la configuration des serveurs, solutions de stockage et équipements réseau.
• Diagnostiquer et résoudre les incidents des couches 1 à 3 du modèle réseau durant les phases de déploiement et d’exploitation.
• Interagir avec les équipements réseau via interface en ligne de commande (CLI) tels que Cisco, Arista, Juniper et Dell.
• Maintenir des registres précis des actifs et des inventaires à l’aide d’outils DCIM/ITSM.
• Participer à la gestion des changements, y compris les fenêtres de maintenance et les modifications en production.
• Accompagner la transition entre la phase de construction et l’exploitation courante, notamment par la rédaction de documentation et le développement de processus.
• Agir comme point d’escalade pour les problématiques techniques complexes.
• Veiller au respect des normes de sécurité, de sûreté et des procédures opérationnelles.
• Participer à un système d’astreinte permettant le support des opérations 24h/24 et 7j/7.

Compétences requises

• Solide expertise pratique des infrastructures de centre de données (calcul, réseau et câblage).
• Aisance dans les environnements de déploiement (« build ») et d’exploitation (« run »).

• Au moins 4 ans d’expérience dans les opérations de centres de données, ledéploiement d’infrastructures ou des environnements similaires.
• Expérience avérée en intégration en baie (« rack & stack »), installation de matériel et câblage structuré.
• Expérience dans les projets de construction, d’extension ou de migration de centres de données (fortement souhaitée).
• Expérience dans le provisionnement de systèmes (PXE, images système ou méthodes basées sur le réseau).
• Expérience pratique de l’initialisation (« bootstrap ») et de la configuration d’équipements réseau.
• Bonne connaissance des systèmes Linux et des outils d’automatisation de base.
• Expérience du support de serveurs d’entreprise (Dell, HPE, Supermicro ou équivalents).

Job Overview

The Data Center Technician L3 is a senior, hands-on role supporting the build-out and long-term operation of a new, enterprise-scale data center environment.

This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute from the ground up—beginning in a greenfield deployment phase, where you will play a key role in infrastructure build, installation, and commissioning. As the site transitions into production, you will continue as part of the core team supporting steady-state operations, ensuring continuity and technical ownership across the full lifecycle of the environment.

You will work across server, network, and infrastructure domains, taking on complex technical tasks and acting as a key on-site resource. This is a high-impact role suited for technicians who are comfortable operating with autonomy and contributing to both building and running critical infrastructure.

You will collaborate closely with engineering and operations teams, many of whom are internationally based, making strong English communication skills (written and verbal) essential for success in this role.

This role offers continuity across both deployment and operational phases, providing a strong foundation for long-term technical growth within a critical infrastructure program. The program is designed with continuity in mind, with a focus on building a stable, high-performing team that evolves with the site over time.

Employment Type

This position is offered as a Contrat à Durée Indéterminée (CDI) under French employment law. The role is intended as a long-term position supporting the continued growth and operational maturity of the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute rack & stack, hardware installation, and structured cabling during build phase.
• Support commissioning activities including system bring-up, validation, and testing.
• Perform provisioning and configuration of servers, storage, and network devices.
• Troubleshoot issues across Layer 1–3 during both deployment and operational phases.
• Interface with network devices via CLI (Cisco, Arista, Juniper, Dell)
• Maintain accurate asset and inventory records using DCIM/ITSM systems.
• Participate in change management, including maintenance windows and production changes.
• Support transition from build phase to steady-state operations, including documentation and process development.
• Act as an escalation point for complex technical issues.
• Ensure adherence to safety, security, and operational standards.
• Participate in on-call rotation supporting 24x7 operations.
• Perform such other duties and responsibilities as may reasonably be assigned by the company from time to time.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on expertise across data center infrastructure (compute, networking, cabling)
• Comfortable working in both deployment (build) and operations (run) environments
• Proficiency with Linux systems (command line, troubleshooting, basic scripting)
• Ability to configure and troubleshoot network hardware via CLI
• Solid understanding of data center fundamentals (redundancy, fault tolerance, power/cooling awareness)

• 4+ years of experience in data center operations, infrastructure deployment, or similar environments
• Proven experience with rack & stack, hardware installation, and structured cabling
• Experience supporting data center build-outs, expansions, or migrations (strongly preferred)
• Experience provisioning systems (PXE, imaging, or network-based methods)
• Hands-on experience bootstrapping and configuring network devices
• Working knowledge of Linux systems and basic automation tools
• Experience supporting enterprise server hardware (Dell, HPE, Supermicro, or similar)
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (Layer 2/3, DNS, DHCP)
• Experience working within a ticketing system for incident and change tracking
• Understanding of data center design principles (redundancy, failover, power distribution)
