Amazon Data Services France SAS is seeking a Data Center Security Specialist (DSS) to support security operations across Paris area data centers; 80% operational, 20% admin/reporting; supervise contract guard force; conduct drills, investigate alarms, liaise with stakeholders.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement of security posture, coordinating with Operations and Safety Managers, drafting reports, and ensuring compliance with global security standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a physical security role.
• 1+ years of incident response & crisis management experience.
• 1+ year of experience collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data to drive process and system improvements.
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office tools.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Valid driving license and eligible to drive in France; willingness to drive between Paris area locations.

Responsabilités

• Provide guidance to contract security provider personnel.
• Evaluate contract security provider performance and request corrective actions from vendors as needed.
• Foster working relationships to educate data center stakeholders on false alarm reductions.
• Extract metrics and observe improvements by looking at data.
• Verify Data Center security programs meet defined global security standards.
• Assist in all media integrity related programs.
• Assist in training of new and existing personnel on behavioral compliance to security policies and procedures.
• Handle escalations and resolve tasks delegated to the team.
• Draft reports and prepare presentations on security status.
• Collaborate with managers in writing and implementing security policies, processes and procedures.
• Serve as a customer advocate by identifying security-related opportunities and crafting innovative solutions.
• Participate in site audits, inspections and walk-throughs.
• Identify and discuss issues and propose solutions to senior team members.

For our AWS data centers in the Paris area, we are looking for a Data Center Security Specialist (DSS). Our ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and innovative. They enjoy teamwork and looking for continuous improvement in security posture and processes. This position is to be 80% operational and 20% related to admin and reporting. The DSS will support a Senior Data Center Security Manager in charge of physical security operations in multiple Data Centers. The DSS role will include the supervision of the contract guard force. They will conduct drills and tests, investigate alarms, and participate in daily operations from a security point of view, liaising with internal and external stakeholders. Key job responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day activities and site security operations.
• Coordinate with Operations and Safety Managers for facility operations.

• Evaluate the contract security provider performance and service delivery and request corrective actions from vendors as needed.
• Foster working relationships to educate data center stakeholders on false alarm reductions.

• Identifying, discussing and bringing forward issues and solutions to senior team members.

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a physical security role
• 1+ years of incident response & crisis management experience
• 1+ year of experience collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data to drive process and system improvements
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office tools
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to read, write and speak fluently English
• Candidate must have a valid driving license and be eligible to drive in France as soon as they start. This position requires driving between company locations regularly all across the Paris area.
