Description du poste
Job Description

We are recruiting a motivated and detail‑oriented Data Analyst Intern for a paid, six‑month remote internship within France. You will work on real operational and strategic projects that require consistent data handling, reliable reporting, and clear communication with multiple teams. This internship provides a structured introduction to how a data function operates inside a company: how information is collected, how performance is monitored, and how insights are used to guide day‑to‑day decisions as well as longer‑term planning.

As part of the team, you will support the preparation of datasets, contribute to recurring analyses, take part in performance reviews, and help maintain reporting tools that are used by managers and operational staff. You will be involved in concrete business questions, not hypothetical exercises, which means you will see how your work affects actual activities and outcomes.

About the Opportunity

We are recruiting a motivated and detail‑oriented Data Analyst Intern for a paid, six‑month remote internship within France. You will work on real operational and strategic projects that require consistent data handling, reliable reporting, and clear communication with multiple teams. This internship provides a structured introduction to how a data function operates inside a company: how information is collected, how performance is monitored, and how insights are used to guide day‑to‑day decisions as well as longer‑term planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect, clean, and organize data from internal systems, shared files, external research sources, and project‑specific datasets, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
  • Carry out exploratory data analysis to identify relevant indicators, unusual variations, and emerging trends that require further investigation.
  • Build or update dashboards and recurring reports used by operational teams and management, using spreadsheets or entry‑level business intelligence tools.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly performance summaries, highlighting significant changes, potential causes, open questions that require follow‑up, and areas needing attention.
  • Support detailed analytical projects such as customer segmentation, product usage patterns, market comparisons, operational bottleneck reviews, or simple forecasting exercises.
  • Document steps in data preparation, naming conventions, assumptions used in analyses, and any data issues that may impact reporting quality.
  • Participate in remote meetings with analysts, project owners, and cross‑functional teams to understand their information needs and adapt reporting accordingly.
  • Assist in identifying repetitive tasks that could be streamlined and recommend improvements to make data handling and reporting more consistent and reliable.
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program related to Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a similar discipline.
  • Comfortable with the fundamentals of data analysis, including data cleaning, descriptive statistics, and the creation of simple charts and tables.
  • Confident working with Excel or Google Sheets. Knowledge of SQL, Python, or tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker Studio is welcome but not required.
  • Organized, attentive to detail, and capable of approaching problems in a structured manner.
  • Able to work independently in a remote environment and maintain steady communication with colleagues by written and video channels.
  • Based in France and eligible for a remote internship under French rules and administrative requirements.
  • Curious and proactive, willing to ask questions, test approaches, and refine your work based on feedback.
Benefits
  • A paid six‑month internship involving real datasets, recurring business indicators, and practical exposure to how data informs daily operations.
  • Close guidance from experienced data professionals, including regular feedback sessions and opportunities to observe how decisions are made during internal reviews.
  • The chance to strengthen your analytical and technical skills by working on dashboards, reports, and structured analytical exercises linked directly to business needs.
  • Experience documenting your work in a way that meets professional standards, preparing you for future roles in analytics or operations.
  • Flexible working hours and a remote setup tailored to support productivity, communication, and learning.
  • A portfolio of concrete work outputs that can be presented to future employers.
  • Potential consideration for continued collaboration depending on performance and team requirements.
