Job Description

Position Purpose

• Provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking customers to assess their needs and provide assistance.
• Learn products using tools and provide information to customers to sell an entire project.
• Greet, qualify, recommend, and close every customer in the department, and handle basics in adjacent departments.
• Maintain in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring cleanliness, shop‑ability, and safety.
• Follow all safety policies and standards, complete specified safety training, correct hazards immediately or report them to the Manager on Duty, and work safely to prevent endangerment of self, co‑workers, vendors, or customers.
• Cooperate with Department Supervisor and other associates in the department as well as other departments.
• Work in store departments such as Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing, and Tool Rental.
• Position types include Department Sales, Lead Generator, Pro Account Sales, Sales Specialist, Special Services, and Customer Order Specialist.
