Country Head, France

Description

The Country Head, France is the senior executive leader for Apex Group's operations in France, responsible for setting the strategic direction of the business, driving growth, strengthening client relationships, and ensuring strong commercial and operational performance. The role provides senior leadership across the French platform, working closely with regional and global stakeholders to deliver sustainable growth, effective governance, and high-quality client service.

Reporting to the Regional Head, South & East Europe, the Country Head will focus on strategic oversight, business development, financial performance, client growth, and the alignment of the French business with Apex Group's regional and global priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Governance

• Provide senior leadership for Apex Group's French business, ensuring clear strategic direction, effective execution and alignment with Group priorities.
• Develop and execute the France strategic plan, with a strong focus on growth, market positioning, client retention and commercial opportunities.
• Ensure effective governance, risk oversight and operational control frameworks across the French business, working with relevant functional specialists as required.
• Build a high-performance, commercially focused and client-centric culture aligned with Group strategy.

Strategic & Operational Oversight

• Oversee the delivery of services across the French platform, ensuring operational resilience, high standards of client service and effective collaboration across business lines.
• Ensure appropriate oversight of client acceptance, risk management, AML, regulatory obligations and technical matters through the relevant qualified specialists and internal control functions.
• Act as the senior country sponsor for strategic initiatives, operational priorities, client escalations and cross-functional coordination in France.

Commercial & Financial Performance

• Lead the France growth strategy, identifying market opportunities, developing the commercial pipeline and supporting new business initiatives.
• Build and maintain senior relationships with key clients, prospects, intermediaries, advisers and strategic partners to enhance Apex Group's market presence in France.
• Hold overall responsibility for budget delivery, revenue growth, profitability, margin management and financial performance of the French business.

Candidate Profile

• Senior leadership experience in financial services, corporate services, fund administration, professional services or a related commercial environment.
• Proven track record of leading a business or country platform, with accountability for strategy, growth, client service, people leadership and financial performance.
• Strong commercial acumen, with demonstrated ability to develop client relationships, originate opportunities, support sales activity and convert growth plans into measurable results.
• Good understanding of French financial services, corporate governance, fund administration, AML and regulatory frameworks, with the ability to work effectively with technical specialists.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to balance growth, profitability, governance, operational delivery and risk oversight.
• Fluent in French and English.
