Based in the heart of the Alps, Samaya is a French outdoor equipment brand founded in 2018 by alpinists convinced that the ideal alpine tent had not yet been imagined. We design, test, and build our products entirely in-house — from first prototype to field testing — within one of Europe’s leading innovation spaces for outdoor equipment. The Role
As Samaya enters its next phase of growth, we’re looking for a Content & Digital Marketing Specialist to strengthen and scale our daily marketing output.
This is a hands‑on role where two competencies are central:
- Content creation – producing, shaping, and adapting assets and messages across platforms.
- Communication & distribution – ensuring these assets circulate effectively across channels, partners, and communities.
You will turn product innovation, athlete stories, and field footage into high‑performing assets, while also nurturing the communication ecosystem around them: community interactions, creator/media relationships, internal alignment, and consistent brand expression.
You will work closely with the Head of Sales & Marketing, collaborate with the Lead Creative / Visual Designer (dotted‑line, functional guidance), and support the E‑commerce & Digital Operations Assistant on website content and consumer journeys. The role blends creativity, messaging, digital execution, and community/PR relationship building.
Some prior experience with paid media and e‑commerce content is expected, but much of the operational work will be supported and learned in close collaboration with the Head of Sales & Marketing.
Tasks
Key Responsibilities
1. Daily Content Production & Messaging
Depending on priorities, you will focus on:
- Producing engaging digital content for Meta, TikTok, Google, newsletters, and the website.
- Transforming athlete field content, product insights, lab stories, and behind‑the‑scenes material into clear, compelling messages.
- Creating short‑form videos, visuals, and social assets adapted to each platform.
- Working with the Lead Creative / Visual Designer to refine visual direction and ensure consistency.
- Maintaining an organised content library (photos, videos, messaging blocks).
2. Digital Marketing & Light Media Management
- Prepare, publish, and optimise content across Meta, TikTok, and Google (organic + basic paid formats).
- Support the Head of Sales & Marketing with the operational setup of simple campaigns (evergreen ads, product pushes).
- Adjust and iterate assets based on performance indicators (CTR, engagement, landing‑page behaviour).
- Collaborate with the Head of Sales & Marketing on the operational needs of the Media Strategy.
3. Social Media, Community, PR & Influencer Relations
- Manage Samaya’s social channels and adapt formats (reels, stories, carousels, micro‑content).
- Build and nurture relationships with athletes, ambassadors, creators, and media partners.
- Coordinate product sends, follow‑ups, and storytelling angles with these partners.
- Support PR activities: preparing assets, coordinating requests, and ensuring consistent messaging.
- Develop engagement with the community through meaningful interactions and authentic brand presence.
4. Brand Communication & E‑Commerce Support
- Support the E‑commerce & Digital Operations Assistant with website content (product stories, visuals, text blocks).
- Create or adapt messaging for landing pages, email sequences, and retargeting assets.
- Maintain consistency across all touchpoints, from the website to social channels to newsletters.
5. Coordination & Continuous Improvement
- Coordinate with internal teams (product, design, R&D, sales) to align content with launches and innovations.
- Work with external partners (freelancers, photographers, videographers) when needed.
- Track content performance and propose practical improvements for future cycles.
- Contribute to structured reporting to the Head of Sales & Marketing.
Profile
- 3–5 years of experience in content creation, digital marketing, or social media within outdoor, sport, lifestyle, consumer goods, or scale‑up environments.
- Proven ability to create and adapt content (video, visual, messaging) for Meta, TikTok, and Google.
- Solid understanding of digital distribution: organic formats, basic paid formats, and platform expectations.
- Strong sense of storytelling and ability to translate product and athlete insights into clear messages.
- Comfortable working in a small, hands‑on team with high output and close collaboration.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and maintain quality across channels.
- Experience managing small budgets and measuring ROI.
- Fluent in French and English; additional languages are a plus.
- Strong interest in the outdoor world and alignment with Samaya’s purpose‑driven culture.
