A leading insurance and financial services company is seeking a finance professional to oversee consolidation and reporting processes in Paris. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Accounting or Finance and over 5 years of experience in a similar role. Strong IFRS skills and proficiency in SAP S/4HANA are essential, along with fluency in English and French.

Overview

AXA Group Operations (GO) covers multiple divisions and operates across more than 15 countries with around 7,000 staff. You will join AXA Group Operations Finance, which drives and monitors the strategic plan, budgets and efficiency targets, and provides timely, accurate financial information to enable decision-making while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare quarterly consolidated figures from statutory accounts by extracting ledgers from SAP S/4HANA and performing IFRS restatements in Excel.
  • Submit AXA GO SAS consolidated figures (including AXA GO Portugal and AXA GO Morocco) in Magnitude.
  • Ensure a full audit-trail to explain statutory to IFRS reporting differences.
  • Manage the quarterly closing process and analyze actual P&L / balance sheet versus forecast; explain variances.
  • Manage intercompany reporting follow-up and reconciliation.
  • Prepare supporting materials for clearance meetings (presentations to AXA Group).
  • Handle requests from Group Consolidation and Group Controlling teams.
  • Ensure financial statements comply with Group Accounting policies and memos.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses and reporting (e.g., sustainability reporting, CSRD implementation).
  • Participate in SAP S/4HANA project during the enhancement phase to integrate consolidation entries in the accounting tool.
Division and Team

The Accounting Department contains the Accounting Consolidation team, which covers IFRS Consolidation, Operational Accounting and Central Treasury. The Consolidation Expert serves as the key point of contact for IFRS Consolidation topics.

Within the Accounting Department, the Accounting Consolidation team gathers IFRS Consolidation, Operational Accounting and Central Treasury.

Education & Experience
Education

Master Degree in Accounting or Finance (Business school or university, DSCG, Master CCA, CPA preparation).

Experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Consolidation, Accounting, Auditing with a strong background in consolidation topics.
  • Experience with general ledger systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA) is strongly preferred.
  • Big 4 experience is advantageous but not mandatory.

Technical skills

  • Solid knowledge of consolidation techniques under IFRS standards.
  • Understanding of general accounting principles and policies.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • SAP BFC Financial Consolidation (Magnitude) experience.
  • Fluent English and French.

  • Attention to detail in preparing financial statements and reports.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work to meet deadlines.
  • Work well under pressure and manage multiple demands.
  • Clear written and verbal communication; initiative to identify improvements.
