Valeo, a global high-tech automotive supplier, is hiring a line setter at our Étaples site in Hauts-de-France. This CDI, full-time position sits in the Production Manager - J department and focuses on setting and tuning production lines, ensuring safety, quality and on-time start-ups.

You will work with maintenance and operations teams to implement 5S, lead changeovers, and support continuous improvement initiatives in a multi-cultural environment.

Responsabilités

• Set up and tune production lines to meet quality standards and productivity goals
• Ensure safe start-ups and adherence to 5S, safety rules, and PPE usage
• Coordinate with maintenance and operations to minimize downtime and interruptions
• Lead changeovers and support continuous improvement initiatives in production area
• Document and escalate safety, quality, and process deviations as needed

SAFETY / ENVIRONNEMENT :

• Permanently detect safety risks and react.
• Apply Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedure with rigor.
• Ensure respect of all standards in terms of environment, health and safety risks prevention compliant with the HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) system. Manage applicable sections of Safety, Quality & Environment site's Policy.
• Ensure respect of all safety rules and PPE usage during all intervention on processes.
• Fill QRAP board on safety issues and alert leader or supervisor.
• Lead safety conformity actions on production equipment.
• Lead procedures respect from any workshop operator (especially on safety and quality rules).

SAFETY / ENVIRONNEMENT :

• Ensure part production in respect to safety, quality, schedule, cost and volume
• Ensure line setting and tuning to respect defined quality standards 1st, immediately followed by the productivity.
• Ensure Ok Start for production lines and open QRAP when needed
• When needed, replace resources and operators
• Prepare & participate to Changeovers in order to reduce changeover time.
• Act to avoid production disruption due to organization malfunctions.

QUALITY :

• Ensure respect of all quality standards to guarantee our customers, products and services conformity
• Fill QRAP board with quality or process concerns and follow scrap evolution (5 hours). Apply 5 Why methodology for problem solving
• Control production line status and react accordingly when maintenance is required

MAINTENANCE :

• Analyse defects or breakdowns and lead corrective actions; elevate in case of need.
• Ensure first and second level maintenance, anticipate maintenance interventions, alert leaders or supervisors when production deviation
• Support breakdown maintenance resources
• Fill maintenance intervention requests
• Realise equipment and process verification prior to start-up
• Applies ERIM, make it run + detect and solve red tags.

COMMUNICATION / INVOLVEMENT / ANIMATION / CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

• Inform leader or supervisor when technical or quality deviation
• Welcome and train new comers (setters) using training schedule (Work instruction)
• Systematically alert electrical or mechanical maintenance department in case of breakdown
• Ensure and maintain 5S in his area
• Create and realise Improvement Proposals to improve safety, working conditions, quality and productivity
• Use and improve reaction modes in his area.
