Job summary

Harmattan AI is seeking a Computer Vision Engineer to contribute to the front-end of our visual inertial odometry (VIO) stack. You will work on algorithm development, camera calibration, and integration with embedded platforms to deliver robust autonomous defense solutions.

The role requires strong Python and C++ skills, hands-on VIO experience, and the ability to collaborate with system and optical engineers across diverse teams to push the mission forward.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Robotics, Physics, CS or related field.
• Strong math foundations and Python/C++ coding skills.
• Hands-on VIO project experience, especially on industrial products is a plus.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Develop VIO front-end algorithms: frame and stereo matching.
• Calibrate cameras intrinsic and extrinsic parameters.
• Detect obstructions and ensure robustness of the pipeline.
• Implement and optimize algorithms for embedded platforms.
• Test, validate and monitor in simulation and real environments.
• Collaborate with system, optical and software engineers; communicate findings.

About the Role

We are looking for a Computer Vision Engineer to contribute to the development of the front-end of our visual inertial odometry (VIO) algorithmic stack.

Responsibilities

• VIO Front-end Algorithm development: Matching between frames and stereo pairs
• Calibration of cameras intrinsic and extrinsic parameters
• Detection of obstruction
• Implementation and optimization of the algorithmic stack for our embedded platforms
• Testing, Validation & Monitoring: algorithms testing in simulation and real-world environments, development of inspection and monitoring tools.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with system engineers, optical engineers, software engineers. Communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.

Candidate Requirements

• Educational Background : Master’s degree in Robotics, Physics, Computer Science or related field, PhD is a plus
• Technical Expertise : Strong mathematical foundations, coding skills in both Python and C++
• Hands-on VIO project experience . Experience with VIO on industrial products is a huge plus.
