FoodLabs is building the infrastructure between AI and the physical world, seeking a hands-on leader to own data storage, geo-indexing, and change detection at scale. You will shape the core data product, build ML-enhanced quality checks, and lead the first engineers while closely aligning with researchers and customers.

You should love architecture, be comfortable making trade-offs under uncertainty, and be motivated by equity ownership to drive the company forward from Paris or Europe-wide

Qualifications

• Built large data systems, distributed pipelines, or storage/retrieval infra.
• Experience with geospatial, imagery, video, sensors, robotics or autonomous systems.
• Created a product/platform that others relied on.
• Still writes code and debugs systems.
• Formulates strong views and adapts quickly with evidence.
• Able to make architectural decisions and raise engineering bar.

Responsabilités

• Capture data at scale from phones, dashcams, wearables and edge devices.
• Own data layer: storage, geo-indexing, versioning, verification and API delivery.
• Build ML-augmented quality checks, anonymisation and change detection.
• Develop SDKs and tooling for scalable data collection.
• Define infra compute strategy: edge vs cloud, distributed compute and GPU infra.
• Hire early engineers and set technical standards.
• Set architecture and roadmap; collaborate with customers and researchers.
• Share founder ownership and contribute to fundraising goals.
