Luscii, part of OMRON, seeks a Senior Cloud/Backend Engineer to guide infrastructure strategy and drive architectural decisions across Connect teams. You will shape standards, enable autonomous squads and balance technical direction with product, security and cost constraints.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in cloud/backend engineering, with 2+ years in a technical leadership role.
• Hands-on AWS and Terraform experience, plus serverless and event-driven architectures.
• Ability to translate technical choices into clear trade-offs for engineers, product owners and QA.

Responsabilités

• Own and evolve the Cloud & Backend roadmap, translating the engineering vision into clear priorities and next steps.
• Drive cross-team architecture decisions to a close with transparent documentation.
• Establish shared technical standards and guardrails for autonomous team work.
• Work hands-on with AWS and Terraform, reviewing designs and PRs and challenging technical choices.
• Coach and pair with engineers to grow ownership and seniority.
• Collaborate with product owners, QA, engineering leadership and colleagues in Japan to balance direction with product, security and cost.
• Move the platform towards automated infrastructure and safer deployments without a big-bang rewrite.
