Job summary

Carrousel, Inc. in Paris, France is seeking a DevOps Engineer to own infrastructure for a cloud-native microservices platform spanning web and mobile applications.

You will ensure reliability, scalability, and performance as the user base grows globally. You will manage Kubernetes on GCP, automate CI/CD pipelines, implement comprehensive monitoring and mobile app observability, and develop IaC with Terraform.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering role.
• Hands-on expertise with Docker, Kubernetes, and a major cloud provider (GCP preferred, AWS/Azure welcome).
• Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
• Proficient in setting up and managing monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) and mobile-specific monitoring (e.g., Sentry, Firebase Crashlytics).
• Comfortable with scripting and automation in languages like Bash, Python, or Go.

Responsibilities

• Manage and scale Kubernetes-based infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Automate the entire CI/CD pipeline from code commit to production deployment.
• Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting for backend services and mobile apps.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to ensure reproducible infrastructure.
• Oversee database management, performance tuning, and backup strategies (PostgreSQL, Redis).
• Champion security best practices across the stack, from network configuration to application hardening.
