Amazon Data Services France SAS is seeking a skilled Data Center Technician to support the world’s largest cloud infrastructure. You will fix server hardware issues, manage Linux servers, and coordinate with network and power teams to keep services running reliably.

The role requires on‑site work in Paris and offers 24/7 shifts, collaboration with global teams, and opportunities to advance within AWS infrastructure operations.

Qualifications

• Server hardware issues include POST, BIOS, RAID troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networks and switches.
• Proficient Linux administration.
• Good working English.
• Remote access: IPMI/BMC.
• Network equipment installation and configuration.
• Redundancy: power feeds, ATS, RAID.
• Experience in project management.
• Scripting: Bash, Python, or similar.

Responsabilités

• Maintain high system reliability by handling trouble tickets and acting as escalation point.
• Investigate and resolve Linux server issues.
• Troubleshoot Xen service virtualization problems.
• Troubleshoot issues across systems, networking, and power domains.
• Participate in data center power and cooling events.
• Work rotating shifts to meet 24/7 on‑call requirements.
• Install and configure server racks per internal SLAs.
• Triage and resolve trouble tickets for all devices in the region.
• Be the data center point of contact for high‑severity issues.
• Replace server and network parts as needed.
• Ensure correct rotation of spare parts and contribute to uptime metrics.
• Enforce Amazon's security best practices.
