Qualifications

Responsibilities

Randstad Professional Search is recruiting a Cloud Architecte for its global institutional client.

• Type of contract : CDD 36 months renewable
• Salary : Between 70 and 80K depending on qualificationss
• Location : Lyon
• Direct Report to CTO

Job context

Within the General Secretariat, the Executive Directorate for Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) provides the digital platforms and services that form the technological backbone of the Organisation.

As a Cloud Architect, you will ensure the consistency, scalability and sustainability of cloud-native and hybrid infrastructures. Reporting to the Head of Engineering and Solution Design, you will act as the Design Authority to govern key technical decisions.

Your responsibilities

• Define and validate the technical architecture of cloud-native and hybrid systems (reliability, security, operability)
• Review and approve infrastructure designs (Kubernetes, EKS, Rancher, OpenShift, Terraform, Helm, etc.)
• Define and enforce standards, reference architectures and blueprints
• Promote automation, Infrastructure as Code and GitOps / DevSecOps practices
• Advise and mentor solution architects, engineers and operations teams
• Serve as an escalation point during major incidents and Go Live launches
• Lead proofs of concept: multi-cluster federation, workload identity, service mesh
• Drive governance: design reviews, ADRs, technical communities of practice

The role

Reporting to the Head of Engineering and Solution Design, you will act as the Design Authority for public and private cloud architectures. You will ensure the consistency, scalability and long-term viability of cloud-native and hybrid infrastructures, and drive the organization's cloud transformation.

Your profile

• University degree (3–4 years of higher education) or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a large, complex enterprise IT environment
• Proven experience as a Design Authority or Principal Architect for public and private cloud
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes, IaC, DevSecOps pipelines, hybrid and multi-cloud architectures
• Hands-on experience with escalation support for cloud platforms and infrastructure incidents
• Knowledge of GitOps, Zero-Trust, Policy-as-Code and ITIL processes
• Fluent English; working knowledge of French strongly desirable; Arabic or Spanish a plus
• Leadership, rigor, sound decision-making under pressure, ease in a multicultural environment

Technical environment

CKA/CKAD/CKS, AWS Solutions Architect or Terraform Associate certifications, ITIL Foundation. Expertise in AWS Landing Zones (multi-account strategy, Organizations, SCPs).
