Robeauté is seeking a Clinical Engineer to plan, organize, and execute preclinical and clinical tests of Robeauté’s robotic platform. You will coordinate clinical testing with the product team and surgeon collaborators to ensure rigorous data collection and documentation.

You will train surgeons to reach full proficiency on the robot before clinical implementation and validate readiness ahead of each use, while collaborating with the hardware/software teams and contributing to grant applications

Qualifications

• Ph.D./M.Eng. in Biomedical Engineering or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Experience preparing and executing medical device testing.
• Testing experience across both lab and clinical environments.
• Ability to install and repair mechatronic assemblies for testing.
• Strong written, verbal and documentation skills in English and French.
• Experience with usability testing and human factors.

Responsabilités

• Define device test protocols with surgeon collaborators and oversee their execution.
• Design and run formative and summative usability studies.
• Train surgeons to full proficiency on the robot ahead of clinical implementation.
• Validate the platform's readiness ahead of each clinical or preclinical use and document any issues.
• Oversee installation of the robot in the OR or preclinical space.
• Collect, manage and structure data after each test session.
• Author detailed reports from preclinical or clinical use.
• Lead surgical procedure training and provide OR oversight for studies.
• Productize surgical procedures and create dedicated documentation and workflows.
