Bedard Resources is seeking a Class 1 Driver - Shunter to join our client in Saint-Hubert. In this role you will safely move trailers and operate a wheel loader to support production lines, load and unload materials, and sort metals.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, maintain yard cleanliness, and collaborate with the scale attendant and production team. We offer a permanent day shift (40 hours/week), opportunities for overtime, a comprehensive benefits package, RRSP with employer matching,

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating a shunter truck and a wheel loader.
• Valid Class 1 driver's licence (asset).
• Commitment to workplace health and safety standards.
• Self-motivated, versatile, and quick to learn.
• Team-oriented in an industrial environment.

Responsabilités

• Move trailers and roll-off containers safely in the yard and docks.
• Operate a wheel loader to supply production lines and sort metals.
• Perform trailer coupling/uncoupling and secure seals.
• Maintain yard cleanliness and document materials shipped to customers.
• Complete pre-trip inspections and report issues with equipment.
• Collaborate with scale attendant, supervisors and production team.
• Follow health and safety regulations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Be ready to take on new challenges.

Our client, a recognized leader in the metal recycling and recovery industry, operating multiple sites across Quebec, is currently seeking a Class 1 Driver - Shunter to join their dynamic team in Saint-Hubert.

Tasks

• Safely move and handle trailers and roll-off containers throughout the yard and at loading docks;
• Operate a wheel loader to supply production lines, load and unload materials, and sort metals;
• Perform trailer coupling and uncoupling operations, lower trailer landing gear, and apply security seals;
• Maintain yard cleanliness and take photos of materials shipped to customers;
• Complete pre-trip inspections and report any equipment issues or irregularities;
• Work closely with the scale attendant, supervisors, and production team;
• Strictly follow all occupational health and safety regulations;
• Perform any other related duties as assigned.
