Job summary

Haley Ward in Bangor, ME seeks a Project Engineer to lead municipal water, sewer and roadway infrastructure projects. You will work with a team from planning through implementation, developing plans and specifications and ensuring quality control.

Candidates should have a BS in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, a PE license or EIT on track, strong math and communication skills, and experience with AutoCAD. Valid driver’s license and background checks apply.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology is required.
• PE license with at least 4 years of related experience or EIT on track with 5 years.
• Sound mathematical skills are required.
• Working knowledge of software such as AutoCAD is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Criminal background and driving record checks will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Typical projects entail municipal water, sewer, and roadway infrastructure, dams, site planning, and stormwater management.
• Work in a team environment on a broad range of engineering projects from planning through implementation.
• Prepare a professional, economical, and effective set of plans and specifications for each project.
• Conduct engineering computations to design complex projects.
• Communicate with governmental/regulatory staff regarding design concepts and requirements.
• Represent clients at regulatory agency hearings or meetings.
• Monitor quality, budget, and schedule of project work and report to Project Manager.
• Ensure compliance with codes, QA/QC, and performance standards.
