Cap Ingelec is seeking an experienced Civil/External Works Engineer to join our Lyon team. You will lead design studies for VRD packages, ensure smooth handover to construction teams, and provide technical support through the construction phase, while also monitoring project finances for your discipline.

You will work largely from the site office, travel across the country as needed, and collaborate closely with design and BIM teams to deliver compliant, high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Civil Work and External Works
• At least 6 years of experience overseeing construction of complex buildings
• Ideally with a general contracting company

Responsabilités

• Develop and design optimized technical solutions, including sizing of infrastructure systems and preparation of technical specifications and documentation.
• Supervise the production of drawings, plans, and schematics with Design and BIM teams.
• Manage tendering processes, review, analyze, and challenge contractors' proposals to ensure technical and commercial competitiveness.
• Act as the technical authority for the discipline and ensure consistency and quality of engineering solutions.
• Lead technical coordination meetings and support site teams to ensure proper execution of works during construction.
• Participate in commissioning activities and carry out pre-handover inspections and acceptance procedures prior to project completion.

Reporting directly to the Branch Manager in Lyon (69), and working autonomously from needs assessment through to project handover, you will contribute to the design studies for the Civil and External Works and Utilities package (VRD), ensure the handover to construction teams, and provide technical support throughout the construction phase. You will also be responsible for the financial monitoring of your discipline during the design stages.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and design optimized technical solutions, including the sizing of infrastructure systems and preparation of technical specifications and documentation.
• Supervise the production of drawings, plans, and schematics in collaboration with the Design and BIM teams.

Profile

Holding an Engineering degree specialized in Civil Work and External work Engineering, you have at least 6 years of experience overseeing the construction of complex buildings, ideally within a general contracting company.

Recognized for your leadership skills, you possess excellent interpersonal abilities and combine diplomacy, rigor, and a strong service-oriented mindset.

Proficiency in both written and spoken English is considered an asset.

Working primarily from the site office and in close proximity to construction activities, you are highly flexible and willing to travel extensively across the country.
