Qualifications

Laurea in moda/ingegneria o certificato nel settore pelle.
Conoscenza tecnica di materiali in pelle.
Almeno 7–8 anni di esperienza in dipartimenti produzione pelle e/o concerie.
Inglese avanzato C1-C2, fluente francese e italiano obbligatori.
Conoscenza delle tecniche di lavorazione dei pellami.
Esperienza nell'approvvigionamento materiali per pelle o settore correlato.
Ottime capacità di negoziazione, comunicazione e relazione interpersonale.
Capacità di lavorare in autonomia e in team.

Responsabilités

Interfacciarsi con Design Accessories Team per input collezione.
Collaborare con designer e sviluppatori per creare nuovi materiali e adattare materiali esistenti.
Monitorare lo sviluppo di stampe e finiture con studi e i Materials team di Firenze e i fornitori.
Assicurare il follow-up dei test di qualità e conformità ambientale, sicurezza e DIOR.
Interfacciarsi con l'ufficio Sviluppo Prodotto per il lancio di prototipi e campioni.
Redigere master colori/materiali per la produzione e condividere con Industrialization Dept.
Mantenere forti relazioni con fornitori esistenti e identificare nuove partnership strategiche.
Condividere regolarmente con il team Sourcing per allinearsi alla Supplier Strategy delle Maison.
Condurre ricerche su tendenze di mercato, innovazioni materiali e pratiche di sostenibilità.
Monitorare costantemente nuovi materiali, tecnologie e trend di mercato.

Posizione

Within the Leather Goods Sourcing Raw Material team, reporting to the Head of Department, he/she will participate in the identification and selection of high-quality leather materials for the production of leather goods. You will work closely with the design, product development, purchasing, and production teams to ensure that the materials meet aesthetic, technical, quality, regulatory, and cost requirements.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES

Interface with the Design Accessories Team to receive new collection inputs
Collaborate with designers and product developers to create new materials and adapt existing materials to the specific needs of each collection
Monitor the development of prints and finishes in collaboration with the studios, the Materials teams based in Florence and the manufacturers
Ensure the follow-up of quality tests and compliance with environmental, safety and DIOR standards
Interface with the Product Development Office for the launch of finished product prototypes and swatches
Draft color and material master for production and share with the Industrialization Dept
Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and identify new strategic partnerships
Share regularly with Sourcing team to support and align with the Maisons' Supplier Strategy
Conduct in-depth research on market trends, material innovations, and sustainability best practices.
Maintain a constant watch on new materials, technologies, and market trends.

Profilo

Graduate in Fashion / Engineering School or Certificate in Leather Industry
Technical knowledge of leather materials
Previous experience of at least 7/8 years in leather goods production departments and/or tanneries;
Advanced Englis level (C1-C2), fluency in French and Italian is mandatory
Knowledge of processing techniques applicable to leather materials
Proven experience in sourcing materials for leather goods or a related sector
Strong interest in Fashion Products, Leather Goods in particular, and Production issues
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Thoroughness and attention to detail
Sense of organization and ability to manage priorities
Creativity and curiosity
