Within TotalEnergies Global Procurement, you will join the Operations & Maintenance category, which manages procurement activities worldwide for maintenance, shutdown and inspection services across TotalEnergies’ different business segments.
You will work in a highly operational and international environment, interacting closely with affiliates, technical teams and suppliers.
Your primary scope will be Exploration & Production (E&P). You may also support other business segments on operations and maintenance-related matters, particularly in the renewable energy sector.
Reporting to the Segment Manager, you will contribute to defining and deploying the procurement strategy for the Operations & Maintenance segment.
You will independently manage the procurement activities assigned to you. From the early stages of major E&P projects, you will work closely with Project and Operations teams to assess different contracting models for operations and maintenance activities. You will then make recommendations based on cost and risk assessments, ensuring that key contractual and execution risks are appropriately addressed.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Define and manage the procurement strategy
- Conduct active market intelligence covering suppliers, technologies and market indices;
- Analyse and develop the supplier panel, taking into account supplier and market risks;
- Challenge business requirements and specifications with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for globalisation, standardisation and optimisation;
- Develop and deploy the segment procurement strategy;
- Integrate carbon footprint reduction objectives into procurement strategies and supplier assessments.
Manage tenders and negotiations
- Prepare and manage tenders for centrally managed requirements and support affiliates with their local tendering processes;
- Depending on the segment's priorities, act as the main point of contact for an affiliate regarding its key O&M contracts. Together with local teams, analyse contract performance and prepare recommendations regarding contract evolution, extension or retendering;
- Lead commercial and contractual negotiations with suppliers;
- During clarification phases with bidders, work closely with Project and Operations teams to identify execution risks. In coordination with the Legal team, propose and negotiate contractual clauses that clearly define each party's obligations and the allocation of associated costs;
- Contribute to the development and improvement of standard contracts in coordination with Legal teams;
- Monitor the portfolio of centrally managed contracts and their key milestones and expiry dates;
- Support operational teams in managing potential disputes, claims and commercial issues.
Drive contract and supplier performance
- Monitor procurement financial performance and supplier KPIs;
- Lead performance reviews and contribute to supplier assessments;
- Ensure the proper implementation and application of framework agreements;
- Identify and implement improvement, optimisation and transformation plans together with internal stakeholders;
- Integrate safety, quality, environmental and corporate social responsibility requirements into supplier performance management.
