A Day in the Life

Reporting to the head of the “Environmental Impact Assessment” team, you will operate at the heart of a multidisciplinary ecosystem. Your daily life will involve embodying technical expertise and data mastery to serve the Group’s sustainability strategy. You will act as a critical interface between the internal needs of R&I and external expert partners, ensuring that LCA science translates into concrete business orientations.

Your Missions
1. Methodology guardian & Value Internalization
  • Act as one of the LCA methodological referent within the department for the ingredients and bio-resources (feedstocks) of the L’Oréal portfolio.
  • Guarantee the reliability of impact data used for extra-financial reporting (notably carbon), the eco-design process of our formulas, and internal studies on the Group’s sustainability challenges.
  • Internalize added value: during technical feedback from service providers, analyze and synthesize key concepts to enrich internal expertise and build our collective knowledge base.
2. Data Governance & Digital Ecosystem
  • Guarantee the quality, traceability, and consistency of environmental data generated by the team (used for carbon, water, and biodiversity needs).
  • Optimize data collection and management processes by bridging the gap between business needs and IT teams (eco-design tools, databases).

4. Methodological Development & Biodiversity
  • Transform scientific and regulatory monitoring into levers for action: contribute to reflections on the evolution of our methods to anticipate future framework changes.
  • Actively contribute to the development of the product biodiversity footprint methodology, analyzing the adaptability of our current LCA data to these new challenges.
  • Participate in expert working groups to represent L’Oréal’s technical vision.
