Oleon in Compiègne is seeking a category manager raw materials to lead strategic procurement for Europe & UK, focusing on specialty oils and natural emulsifiers. The role involves analyzing market trends, negotiating with suppliers, and collaborating on R&D projects.

Description du poste

As a category manager raw materials, you play a key role in strategic procurement for Europe & UK, with a primary focus on specialty oils & natural emulsifiers. In this role, you report directly to the purchasing manager.

  • You continuously analyze market trends, assess purchasing positions, and provide data-driven recommendations to optimize sourcing strategies.
  • You collaborate with the purchasing manager to refine procurement strategies and ensure smooth execution of key actions.
  • You identify and engage with high-potential suppliers, negotiating and securing contracts that drive value.
  • You oversee contract implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance standards.
  • You build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key suppliers and strategic partners, optimizing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
  • You keep internal stakeholders informed about market developments and key trends affecting procurement decisions.
  • You play an active role in R&D projects, collaborating on the development of new products and processes by identifying and sourcing the most suitable raw materials.

You have the drive to bring structure where needed, while embracing variety and challenges.
  • You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree (or equivalent experience) and are fluent in English, with knowledge of Dutch, French, or German being a plus.
