Crossing Hurdles seeks an experienced CAM programmer to design and optimize toolpaths in Autodesk Fusion 360 for multi-axis CNC milling and turning. You will develop strategies for aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, and plastics while ensuring GD&T compliance.

You will create setup sheets, tooling lists, and training materials, and you will refine CAM outputs based on inspection feedback to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Hands-on CAM programming experience with a strong Fusion 360 portfolio.
• Portfolio or samples showing multi-axis programming and toolpath strategy.
• Solid GD&T understanding and post-processor configuration experience.
• Experience programming for CNC milling/turning with metals and plastics.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

• Simulate and verify toolpaths to prevent collisions and optimize cycles.
• Configure, tune, and document post-processors for Haas, Makera, etc.
• Create setup sheets, tool lists, and strategy docs for manufacturing teams.
• Produce clear CAM training content and write guidance on best practices.
• Iterate CAM outputs using feedback from first-part results and inspections.

Description du poste

• Develop precision CAM toolpaths in Autodesk Fusion 360 for 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC machining operations.
• Program complex milling and turning geometries across metals and plastics, optimizing for material, tolerance, and machine capabilities.
• Simulate and verify toolpaths to identify and resolve potential issues such as collisions, gouging, and inefficient cycle times.
• Configure, tune, and document post-processors for various CNC machines (e.g., Haas, Makera).
• Create detailed setup sheets, tool lists, and strategy documentation for downstream manufacturing professionals.
• Author clear, instructional content, walkthroughs, or written guidance on CAM programming techniques and best practices.
• Incorporate feedback from first-part results and inspection reports to iterate and refine CAM outputs.

Requirements

• Have strong relevant experience in the domain with of hands-on CAM programming experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Fusion 360 with a portfolio or sample work highlighting multi-axis programming and toolpath strategy.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, DFM principles, and post-processor configuration.
• Expertise programming for advanced CNC environments, including experience with a range of materials (aluminum, stainless, titanium, plastics).
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
• Experience creating or delivering CAM training content (formal courses, tutorials, mentoring, or online instructional materials preferred).
