IXO Inc. seeks an expert in CAD assembly design to translate requirements into manufacturable multipart assemblies and to teach others through clear documentation.

Remote assignment with leadership of complex CAD assembly decisions; proficiency in SolidWorks, Creo, NX, CATIA, Inventor, Fusion 360, Onshape, or Solid Edge; mentoring experience highly valued.

Pay ranges from $42–$95 per hour, USD, with terms agreed before starting.

Qualifications

• Ability to create and explain advanced CAD design decisions clearly.
• Five or more years leading complex CAD assembly decisions.
• Mastery of a major parametric system such as SolidWorks, Creo, NX, CATIA, Inventor, Fusion, Onshape or Solid Edge; FreeCAD knowledge is advantageous.
• Experience mentoring, teaching or enabling other designers.
• Credentials may substitute for a formal experience threshold.

What you will do

• Interpret requirements and design manufacturable multipart assemblies.
• Explain architecture, component placement, mating strategies, tolerances and design trade-offs.
• Create and annotate parametric models and document DFM reasoning.
• Critique sample designs and contribute instructional or mentoring explanations.

Required background

• Ability to create and explain advanced CAD design decisions clearly.

Preferred background

• Five or more years leading complex CAD assembly decisions.
• Mastery of a major parametric system such as SolidWorks, Creo, NX, CATIA, Inventor, Fusion, Onshape or Solid Edge; FreeCAD knowledge is advantageous.
• Experience mentoring, teaching or enabling other designers.
• Recognized credentials such as CSWE/CSWP, Autodesk Certified Instructor/Expert Elite, ASME GDTP or SOLIDWORKS Champion may substitute for a formal experience threshold.
• Strong written/verbal explanations, detail and remote collaboration.

Availability

• Remote work; agree the assignment schedule before starting.

Pay and engagement

$42–$95/hr
