LVMH Vins d’Exception is the home of Domaine des Lambrays, Château d’Yquem, Château Cheval Blanc (including Cheval des Andes) and Colgin Cellars, all exceptional estates owned, fully or partially, by the LVMH group.

Position Overview

The Business Development Manager APAC will oversee and grow the distribution of our four estates across Asia–Pacific, covering key markets including China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Australia. This role is pivotal in strengthening our presence, developing strong market partnerships, and driving sustainable revenue growth through a deep understanding of the fine-wine landscape in the region.

Job Responsibilities
Commercial Development & Distribution
  • Maintain, nurture, and grow the existing network of importers, distributors, and key retail partners.
  • Drive consumption and depletion through impactful sales opportunities tailored to each market.
  • Approach each market with a bespoke strategy aligned with estate priorities and brand positioning.
  • Strengthen and consolidate Vins d’Exception’s distribution footprint across the region.
  • Represent the estates in local wine fairs, trade shows and events to strengthen visibility and develop network.
Market Strategy & Execution
  • Lead, plan, and execute market visits; ensure each trip delivers strong ROI.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and support new vintage releases with strategic distributors and importers.
  • Build visibility and partnerships in the on‑trade (restaurants, hotels, bars), ensuring strong advocacy and presence.
  • Develop and implement high‑impact retail initiatives to elevate brand awareness and conversion.
Insights & Reporting
  • Provide regular, structured reporting on market performance, data insights, competitor activity, and emerging trends.
  • Share strategic recommendations with estates and Vins d’Exception management to inform short and long‑term business decisions.
  • Consistent communication with each estate to discuss risks and opportunities.
Profile

5–10 years of experience in the wine industry within the APAC region. Strong on‑trade and off‑trade network across key markets (importers, distributors, retailers, fine‑wine specialists). Solid understanding of route‑to‑market dynamics for fine wines in APAC. Proven track record of commercial development in premium or luxury wine categories. Genuine passion for wine, estates, terroirs, and the fine‑wine universe. Autonomous, organized, and capable of independently managing a dynamic schedule. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify and create opportunities. Strong communication, relationship‑building, and negotiation skills.
