Atlas Copco is seeking a Business Controller to join our Frépillon, France team. You will oversee accounting functions, safeguard internal controls, and support the General Manager with strategic financial decisions through precise reporting.

You will collaborate across Finance Hub and regional managers to drive compliant statutory reporting, tax adherence, and robust cash management, while developing the sales organization in line with our business control principles.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent.
• Solid knowledge of ISO standards and local French accounting practices.
• Experience with SAP and financial reporting.

As a Business Controller, you will be at the heart of our financial operations, steering the organization's accounting functions and empowering strategic financial decisions through precise and timely reporting. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will contribute significantly to our overall success.

The overall responsibility for the Business Controller is to safeguard a good internal control environment in order to protect the company's assets and ensure that financial reporting and accounting matters are in accordance with our internal standards and local statutory accounting practice. The role also involves supporting and advising the General Manager in business control areas and acting as a key speaking partner to managers across ACTA CC South Europe in their core business and customer-focused activities.

Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities include the following:

• Achieve results as per objectives agreed with the General Manager.
• Lead the development, implementation, and follow‑up of all administrative processes for the region.
• Ensure reporting procedures align with internal standards and local laws, highlight red flags, and maintain open communication with both internal and external parties.
• Coordinate group reporting and planning, including plans, targets, and continuously updated expectations.
• Ensure compliance of statutory accounts, legal, and tax reporting.
• Manage credit control, collection, and customer financing proactively.
• Oversee cash and asset management.
• Steer internal and external service providers (e.g., Finance Hub) in finance, administration, and IT to assure quality and timeliness of all services.
• Maintain internal controls.
• Promote professional development for all employees within your area of responsibility.
• Ensure staff and partners comply with the Atlas Copco Business Code of Practice without exceptions.

The Business Controller is also responsible for ensuring that “The Way We Do Things” is followed in all aspects. Your role includes developing the Sales organization to make sure people are aware of the principles and guidelines for business control, providing financial training and communication within the Customer Centre.

Qualifications

• University degree and broad experience within Finance Management or Business Control.
• Solid knowledge of ISO standards regarding Safety, Health, Environment and Quality.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Lotus Notes and SAP.
• Knowledge of labour laws and collective agreements in the region.
• Fluency in English and good French language skills (written and spoken).
• Result‑oriented with strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills with customers and colleagues at all levels.
• Dynamic mindset, open to change and innovation.
• Pro‑active, capable of working independently and leading teams and projects to successful conclusion.
