Capital Fund Management in Paris seeks a seasoned Business Controller to lead financial planning, budgeting and cost optimization. This role, reporting to the Head of HR & Finance, combines rigorous analysis with strategic business partnering across units.

You will build planning tools, forecast revenues and expenses, monitor variances, and prepare monthly and annual management reports. A Master’s degree and 5+ years in corporate finance or management accounting are required.

• Master's degree in Business School or Engineering School with a focus on corporate finance.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in management accounting, corporate finance, or a similar role in banking/asset management.

Responsabilités

• Build and maintain financial planning tools to support strategic decision-making.

• Forecast revenues on a monthly basis.
• Forecast expenses (including staff costs) on a quarterly basis.
• Monitor budget vs. actual performance and identify variances and their root causes.
• Create internal monthly and annual management reports covering revenues, expenses, profitability by business line, headcount, and KPIs.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement roadmaps.
• Monitor cash flow and liquidity; manage FX positioning and working capital.

YOUR ROLE

CFM is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Controller.

This role is in finance and reports to the Head of HR & Finance

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Planning & Budgeting

• Build and maintain financial planning tools to support strategic decision-making
• Develop annual budgets aligned with business objectives
• Forecast annual revenues on a monthly basis
• Forecast annual expenses (including staff costs) on a quarterly basis
• Monitor budget vs. actual performance and identify root causes of variances
• Identify trends and patterns to inform future planning
• Create internal monthly and annual management reports covering:
• Revenues, expenses, and profitability by business line
• Headcount and staff cost analysis
• Key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics
• Provide actionable insights to support management decision-making

Cost Management & Optimization

• Monitor operating costs across all departments
• Identify and quantify cost-saving opportunities with implementation roadmaps
• Analyze profitability by investment strategy, product line and client segment
• Control expenses through variance monitoring and process improvements
• Support process efficiency initiatives to optimize resource utilization

Treasury & Cash Management

• Optimize cash investments to maximize returns while managing risk
• Optimize FX positioning to manage currency risk and capture gains/losses
• Monitor liquidity and working capital requirements
• Forecast cash flow requirements

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with business units to understand operational drivers and financial impact
• Support operational and transformation projects with financial analysis
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with audit and compliance teams on control frameworks

YOUR SKILLS

• Master's degree (Business School or Engineering School, Corporate Finance)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in management accounting, corporate finance or similar role in banking/asset management
• Rigor, attention to detail, analytical skills
• Excellent written and oral communication (synthesis)
• Use of AI to optimize existing processes
