Job summary

IMPACT CONSULTANTS is seeking a Business Analyst in Paris to bridge business needs and IT solutions for a major client in travel. You will translate requirements, draft functional specs, define acceptance criteria and support testing across international teams.

The role requires a Master’s degree, 3+ years of BA experience, and fluency in English and French, with a preference for airline industry knowledge. Based in Paris, full-time, fixed-term contract with potential permanent follow-on.

IMPACT CONSULTANTS is looking for a Business Analyst

IMPACT CONSULTANTS strategic and operational consulting firm specialized in travel. Founded in 2020, it is growing fast.

As part of a service contract for one of its clients, it is recruiting a Business Analyst in France.

The client is one of the leading European players in transport, currently transforming its commercial and distribution systems with the support of one of its main partners/vendors.

The role

Your main missions will be the following:

• Work closely with business and product stakeholders (including vendor) to understand, structure and translate business needs into clear functional requirements.
• Prepare functional documentation covering business processes, user journeys, features and system interactions.
• Define clear and verifiable acceptance criteria to support the delivery and validation of new functionalities.
• Analyse differences between expected business needs and proposed solutions, and help define the target operating processes.
• Take part in backlog refinement activities and contribute to discussions around priorities, scope and functional choices.
• Support the definition of the overall testing approach and help ensure that business requirements are properly covered throughout the validation process.
• Prepare and execute functional test scenarios, analyse identified issues and support stakeholders through the validation and approval stages.
• Track progress across assigned topics and contribute to effective collaboration and knowledge sharing within the Business Analysis team.

About you

This position is made for you if:

• You hold a Master's degree (Bac +4/+5) in business, engineering or information systems or equivalent.
• You have at least 3 years' experience as a Business Analyst within the field. .

Functional skills

• Strong understanding of complex business processes and transactional environments, ideally involving pricing, product or service management, order flows and operational systems.
• Ability to translate business needs into clear functional specifications.
• Ability to understand, describe and simplify user journeys and system interactions.
• Ability to define and share well-defined acceptance criteria.
• Contribute to backlog refinement and challenge functional scope with relevant stakeholders especially the vendor
• Airline industry and IT systems knowledge and expertise are mandatory.
• Pricing and retailing knowledge are a plus.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to align different teams and perspectives around common objectives.
• High level of autonomy and ownership, with strong skill in managing assigned topics from initial analysis through to validation.
• Comfortable working in international and multicultural environments involving business, product and technology teams.
• Collaborative mindset and strong team spirit.
• Flexibility and adaptability, including in contexts where information may be incomplete or requirements may continue to evolve.
• Strong facilitation and knowledge-sharing skills.

Languages

English and French : fluency required.

Conditions

• One-year fixed-term contract (CDD), with the possibility of a permanent contract (CDI) afterwards.
• Full-time position based in Paris.
• Fixed salary to be defined according to education level and experience/profile.
• Start: as soon as possible.
