Zusammenfassung

IRD Occitanie invites applications for a bioinformatics engineer position in Montpellier within the DIADE unit. The project focuses on plant biodiversity, adaptation, and climate-driven evolution, using genomics and climate data to support agroecological transitions.

You will join the Dynadiv team at the UMR DIADE and collaborate with researchers across AGAP, GDEC, INRAE, CIRAD, and MNHN on tool development, data analysis, and capacity building.

Qualifikationen

• Proficiency with UNIX systems and HPC data processing.
• Programming in Python and R; basic C is a plus.
• Knowledge of biology and sequencing data analysis.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; strong interpersonal skills.

Aufgaben

• Develop bioinformatics tools for plant adaptation analysis using pan-genome methods.
• Build software components and integrate into an existing tool; validate scripts with datasets.
• Provide tutorials and training on tool usage.
• Analyze genomic datasets to study climate-related adaptation and evolution.
