Job summary

Veepee AD, located in Paris, is looking for a skilled Software Engineer to join the Navigation team. You will develop features and ensure a top-notch experience for users across platforms.

The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of backend software development experience, strong C# and .NET abilities, and knowledge of databases like PostgreSQL and Cassandra. The position offers flexible working options.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in backend software development.
• Strong hands-on experience with C# and .NET.
• Solid experience building and maintaining APIs, asynchronous processing, and distributed backend systems.
• Good knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, especially PostgreSQL and Cassandra.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Experience designing and troubleshooting integrations with external/internal services over HTTP.
• Strong focus on code quality, including unit tests, integration tests, and production readiness.
• Comfortable working on systems with concurrency, resiliency, failure handling, and operational constraints.
• Fluent in English.
• Product-minded, pragmatic, and able to balance technical quality with delivery priorities.

Today we're looking for a software engineer who will join the Navigation team. This team ensures our website and apps present the most attractive storefront experience every day.

TASKS

• Develop new features across APIs, background workers, importers, schedulers, and event‑driven services.
• Integrate with internal and external platforms through HTTP APIs, messaging systems, and data pipelines.
• Ensure code quality through clean design, code reviews, automated tests, and observability best practices.
• Contribute to the reliability, scalability, and performance of distributed applications running in production.
• Work closely with Product, Data, and other engineering teams to refine needs and turn them into robust technical solutions.
• Write clear technical documentation and share knowledge with the team.
• Handle the technical interviews with other developers willing to join.

MUST HAVE skills

• 5+ years of experience in backend software development.
• Strong hands‑on experience with C# and .NET.
• Solid experience building and maintaining APIs, asynchronous processing, and distributed backend systems.
• Good knowledge of relational and non‑relational databases, especially PostgreSQL and Cassandra.
• Experience with event‑driven architectures and messaging platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.

• Experience with Dapper, SQL‑heavy applications, and performance‑oriented data access.
• Experience with distributed workers, schedulers, batch/import pipelines, or background jobs.
• Experience with observability, logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting production issues.
• Experience with Postgres, Cassandra, Kafka, ElasticSearch.
• Experience with AI‑related systems such as LLMs, agents, or MCP.
