Halian | Managed Services, Recruitment Agency & Contract Staffing in Paris is seeking a early-career Python developer to join the Delivery team. You will contribute to backend services and APIs using Python/Django, participate in design, testing and deployment, and grow with an experienced technical team.

You should have a degree in Computer Science or equivalent, and first significant development experience.

THE DEVELOPER TEAM - Delivery

Integrated within the Digital department, the Delivery team brings together around fifteen developers responsible for building our web/mobile platform, back-office applications, and CRM (Salesforce). Our back-office applications are developed using the Django framework and our APIs via Django REST Framework, built on a microservices architecture. The entire ecosystem is containerized and deployed on AWS infrastructure via GitLab CI/CD pipelines.

You will be at the heart of our development team, contributing directly to the design, development and evolution of our backend services and APIs.

Working alongside experienced developers, you will take part in the full development lifecycle, from technical design and implementation to testing, deployment and production monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in the design, development and maintenance of our backend applications and APIs using Python and Django.
• Write clean, maintainable and tested code following the team's development standards and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions with other developers.
• Contribute to the integration of our backend services with internal and external systems.
• Participate in testing, deployment and production monitoring.
• Investigate and resolve bugs and technical issues.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development practices, tools and technical architecture.
• Develop your knowledge of our AWS, Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD environments as part of your day-to-day work.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

You should:

• Have a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Have a first significant experience in software development, through professional experience, an internship, a work-study program or personal projects.
• Have good knowledge of Python and object-oriented programming.
• Understand the fundamentals of web development, REST APIs and HTTP.
• Have a good understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL). Be comfortable with Git and collaborative development practices.
• Care about code quality, testing and maintainability.
• Be curious, self-driven and willing to understand how things work beyond simply completing assigned tasks.
• Speak operational English, as some meetings and technical discussions are conducted entirely in English.

Nice to have:

• Experience with Django and Django REST Framework.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes or cloud environments such as AWS.
• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• Personal projects, open-source contributions or technical experimentation demonstrating a genuine interest in software development.
