Liebherr Mining in Colmar, Grand Est, seeks a Product Owner for the Autonomous Haulage System to define, maintain and prioritize the backlog, align with management and development teams, and coordinate releases.

You will translate requirements, drive sprint planning, and ensure cross-functional integration with Safety, Cybersecurity and Compliance. Travel internationally is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in CS/Robotics/Software Eng or mining experience.
• Minimum 2 years as Product Owner, System Engineer or Product Manager.
• Experience with Agile methods (Scrum/SAFe).
• Knowledge of requirements management and system engineering.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

The Product Owner – Autonomous Haulage System is responsible for defining, maintaining and prioritizing the product backlog, also supporting development planning and release management. The Product Owner works closely with product management, development and validation teams to ensure all required functionalities are developed in a prioritized manner to meet the approved business and functional requirements defined for the product. In addition to the technical aspects, the Product Owner ensures effective communication and knowledge transfer, collaborating across multiple time zones with a wide variety of stakeholders. The role also supports the integration of ancillary products and subsystems that are necessary for a complete Autonomous Haulage System.

Your missions:

• Analyze, clarify and document the needs of users, internal and external customers.
• Develop and maintain the Autonomous Haulage System product backlog, ensuring items are ready and prioritized for development.
• In collaboration with product management, architect and development teams, prioritize backlog items and development sequencing.
• Translate approved functional requirements into actionable tasks for development team execution.
• Drive and set expectation of features to be delivered as part of the sprint planning process.
• Ensure the product release content and dates are clearly communicated and understood by all stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, Safety, Cybersecurity and Compliance to ensure product understanding
• Follow-up product integration, validation, and deployment to ensure the solution meets the requirements.
• Manage and prioritize defects identified during verification, validation and deployment activities, ensuring timely resolution.
• Collect and analyze user and operational feedback to drive continuous product improvement.
• International travels are required, particularly in the United States and Australia.
  
  

Your profile:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Software Engineering, System Engineering or experience in Mining environment.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience as Product Owner, System Engineer or Product Manager role.
• Working knowledge of agile development methodologies (Scrum / SAFe)
• Understanding of system engineering principles and requirements management.
• Experience defining, managing and decomposing business, functional and system requirements.
• Technical background with knowledge of software development, embedded systems or autonomous technologies.
• Familiarity with collaboration and requirement management tools like Jira, CodeBeamer, Confluence…
• Experience contributing to product roadmaps and release planning
• Product Ownership certification would be a plus
• Willingness to discover and learn about mining operations, fleet management and autonomous haulage systems
• Excellent communication and collaborations skills, both technical and non-technical.
• Full professional proficiency in English
• Ability to travel internationally
