Airbus Operations SAS in Toulouse invites applications for an Auto-flight System Designer to reinforce the Flight Control department. You will bridge pilots' needs with aircraft system design and contribute to the Auto-flight System to improve safety and flight automation.

The role requires hands-on experience with Real-Time Embedded Systems, SCADE, and interfaces with Flight Management and navigation systems, and involves collaboration with international stakeholders.

Qualificações

• Proven experience in real-time embedded systems engineering.
• Experience using design specification tools and languages such as SCADE.
• Familiarity with interface definition of complex avionics or flight control systems.

Responsabilidades

• Contribute to functional and operational specification evolutions of the Auto Flight System from design to certification.
• Produce detailed specifications using formal tools within time, cost and quality constraints.
• Define interfaces with related systems (Flight Management, Navigation, Radionavigation, Surveillance, Display, Warnings).
• Present and justify design choices to flight test engineers and pilots.
• Coordinate with internal/external coding suppliers and participate in validation and airworthiness activities.

Job Description

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for an Auto-flight System Designer (f/m) to join our Flight Control department based in Toulouse, France.

You will be part of a team building bridges between pilots' needs and aircraft system design.

As part of the Flight Control team, you will be involved in the Auto-flight System aiming to enhance aircraft safety and flight automation.

Your challenges

• Contribute to the functional and operational specification evolutions of the Auto Flight System from preliminary design to certification.
• Deliver detailed specifications using formal specification tools (SAO/SCADE) on time, cost, and quality.
• Define interfaces with related systems (Flight Management, Navigation, Radionavigation, Surveillance, Display, Warnings).
• Present and justify design choices, performance, and limitations to flight test engineers and test pilots.
• Manage internal/external coding suppliers and conduct validation, verification, and airworthiness certification activities.

Your boarding pass

• Professional experience in Real-Time Embedded Systems Engineering with Requirement-Based or Model-Based System Engineering practices.
• Hands-on experience using Design Specification tools and languages such as SCADE.
• Practical knowledge of flight operations and associated avionics/flight control systems.
• Demonstrated ability to interface and negotiate effectively with multi-functional, cross-domain, and international stakeholders.
• Negotiation level in English; conversational proficiency in French is an asset.
