LRQA is seeking a senior lead auditor manager to oversee a team of auditors and technical experts. You will ensure delivery of certification and assurance services across multiple sectors and schemes, while coaching staff and building client relationships.

Fluent French and English are required, with a strong background in third-party certification and accreditation. The role emphasizes leadership, recruitment and ongoing development of skills within an international matrix organisation,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Environment, Chemistry, Energy, Mechanical, etc.).
  • Significant experience in third-party certification, auditing or conformity assessment.
  • Lead Auditor certification or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong understanding of accreditation requirements and certification processes.
  • Excellent coaching, leadership and people-management skills.
  • Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.

Responsabilités

  • Manage a team of auditors and technical experts.
  • Ensure delivery of LRQA’s certification and assurance services across sectors.
  • Lead, coach, and develop employed and subcontracted auditors.
  • Conduct performance reviews, development plans and feedback sessions.
  • Coach auditors to develop technical and behavioural competencies.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding and succession planning for the team.
  • Direct audit programmes across assigned sectors and schemes.
  • Monitor auditor utilization and operational performance.
  • Ensure audits comply with accreditation requirements and LRQA systems.
  • Build strong relationships with key clients and strategic accounts.
  • Act as escalation point for client concerns and certification matters.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for managing a team of auditors and technical experts.
  • Ensure effective delivery of LRQA’s certification and assurance services across multiple sectors and standards.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of employed and subcontracted auditors.
  • Conduct performance reviews, development planning, and regular feedback sessions.
  • Support auditors in developing technical and behavioural competencies through coaching and training.
  • Manage team capacity, recruitment, onboarding, and succession planning.
  • Oversee the delivery of audit programmes across assigned sectors and schemes.
  • Monitor auditor utilisation and operational performance.
  • Ensure audits are delivered in compliance with accreditation requirements and LRQA management systems.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and strategic accounts.
  • Act as an escalation point for client concerns and certification-related matters.
Requirements
  • Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
  • Bachelor’s degree in the relevant field of expertise (e.g., Environment, Chemistry, Energy, Mechanical, etc.)
  • Significant experience in third-party certification, auditing, assurance, or conformity assessment activities.
  • Qualified Lead Auditor in one or more recognised certification schemes.
  • Strong understanding of accreditation requirements and certification processes.
  • Proven experience leading technical teams, auditors, or operational professionals.
  • Excellent coaching, leadership, and people management skills.
  • Strong customer focus and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working within an international matrix organisation.
