AToUT – Health/well-being, Global changes, and Sustainable transitions in University of Toulouse - is a postdoctoral fellowship programme coordinated by the University of Toulouse and co-funded by the European Union under Horizon Europe / MSCA COFUND (Grant Agreement No. 101216810) and TIRIS initiative.
This call will award up to 15 postdoctoral positions (24 months each) starting September 2026 within Toulouse’s research ecosystem (140+ research units).
Scientific scope (cross-disciplinary):

- Sustainable Transitions
Fellows conduct an independent research project hosted by an eligible Toulouse unit, with structured supervision, a Career Development Plan and advanced training (scientific & transferable skills).

- Employment contract in France, 24 months, full-time, with social security.
- Competitive MSCA allowances (living + mobility; family/children allowances where applicable) — minimum 3800 eur gross salary.
- Career Development Plan, mentoring, and tailored training (open science, research integrity/ethics, project management, communication & outreach, innovation/entrepreneurship).
- Access to state-of-the-art infrastructures and a large network of academic, public and private partners.
Eligibility criteria
- Doctoral degree (PhD) required by the call deadline (28 February 2026).
- MSCA mobility rule: the applicant must not have resided or had their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in France for more than 12 months in the 36 months immediately before the call deadline.
- The fellow must not hold a permanent position at the prospective host.
- Proposals must align with one of AToUT’s themes and be hosted by an eligible research unit in the University of Toulouse ecosystem.
- Ethical compliance (humans/animals, data protection, dual-use, etc.) required; an ethics self-assessment and approvals where applicable.
Selection process
Three-phase, MSCA-aligned evaluation:
- Eligibility check by the AToUT coordination team.
- Evaluation of the written application by a scientific committe and at least 2 international independant experts against MSCA criteria: Excellence, Impact, Quality & Efficiency of Implementation.
- Interviews of shortlisted candidates by an interdisciplinary Interview Committee (online).

- Conduct and disseminate the proposed research; implement Open Science practices (open access, data management).
- Create a Career Development Plan with the supervisor, engage in training
