- Lead all direct tax aspects for France as part of the Tax Planning and Counsel team
- Coordinate and review French tax compliance, including tax calculations, filings, and payments for corporate income tax, business tax, real estate property tax, CVAE, C3S, and related taxes
- Oversee transfer pricing policy and local transfer pricing files for French companies
- Draft internal English notes and memos explaining French tax issues and advising on French tax matters
- Lead ongoing French tax audits, coordinating information flows, reviewing submissions, and responding to tax administration requests
- Attend meetings with tax audit teams
- Draft litigation memos and correspondence with the French tax administration
- Prepare tax reporting memos, including FIN 48, QSTM, and valuation allowance memos, and quarterly tax reporting packages
- Provide VAT advice on local matters and tax audits
- Identify and help mitigate potential French tax exposures
- Identify and implement French tax planning ideas involving financing, repatriation, and restructuring transactions
- Monitor French tax legislation and elevate relevant changes to management
- Identify and implement agreed continuous process improvements within the Tax function
- Collaborate with Treasury, Legal, Accounting, HR, the business, and global Tax colleagues
Requirements
- Master's degree in Tax or equivalent level of education
- Qualified as a Tax Lawyer would be an advantage
- 5-10 years of professional experience within the Big Four and/or a corporate multinational environment
- Exposure to various tax matters in France
- Experience with Tax Accounting under US GAAP is preferred
- Professional-level fluency in French, written and spoken
- Proficient in English
- Independent and proactive work style

- Ability to initiate, plan, execute, control, and close work involving diverse teams and conflicting timelines
- Ownership and accountability in completing projects
