Airbus Defence and Space SAS seeks a Free Space Laser Network Architect to design and implement laser-based communications networks across space, air, land and sea. You will work within CI for secure, high-speed SATCOM solutions, and engage with cross-functional teams and customers.

The role requires an Engineering degree with laser/optical specialization, experience in complex networks, and fluency in French and English, with security clearance or eligibility.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in computer networks with a specialization on Laser and Optoelectronic systems.
• Experience in complex network environments, telecom or military WANs.
• Ability to design and deliver technical solutions for clients.
• Knowledge of laser transmission issues and classic IP networks.

Responsabilités

Dans ce but, CI cherche un/une Architecte réseaux Laser en espace libre (H/F) maîtrisant les technologies de communication par Laser et la réalisation de réseaux incluant des segments Laser :

• Réseau IP conventionnels;
• Réseaux point à point, point à multipoint, maillés, ... ;
• Porteurs fixes et mobiles;
• Milieux : spatial, aérien, terrestre, maritime.

Vous avez un intérêt pour les réseaux IP et les systèmes de communication complexes, hautement sécurisés. Vous êtes capable de faire preuve de créativité et avez l'envie de vous investir sur des sujets techniques complexes et innovants. Vous serez intégré(e) à un pôle d’ingénierie chargé de concevoir et développer les systèmes de communication de défense du futur.

Les activités actuelles de l’équipe ont pour but d’exploiter les possibilités offertes par les technologies émergentes (laser, quantique,...) dans le cadre des services de communications sécurisés, sur tout type de support (satellite, 5G,...), en utilisant des techniques de réseaux programmables (SDN).

Vous prendrez part en tant qu’Architecte aux différents projets faisant appel aux moyens de communication Laser.

Ce poste exige une connaissance des risques potentiels de non-conformité.

Tâches et responsabilités :

Vous aurez les missions suivantes :

• Assurer une veille technologique permanente au contact des équipes internes et des équipementiers ;
• Supporter les avant-ventes à savoir (ex : pédagogie envers les équipes internes et envers les clients; proposition de solutions techniques) ;
• Maquetter des solutions ou des preuves de concept ;
• Contribuer à la conception des solutions destinées aux clients (ex: spécification des segments Laser; Interface avec les autres composants systèmes) ;
• Spécifier les évolutions nécessaires des composants Airbus Defence & Space pour implémenter ces solutions et identifier d’éventuels nouveaux composants à développer ;
• Assurer le maintien de tous les documents techniques liés aux solutions proposées ;
• Support et expertise aux équipes de conception et d’IVQ système.

Profil :

Vous avez la formation, les expériences et compétences suivantes :

• Titulaire d’un diplôme d’Ingénieur (ou équivalent) dans le domaine des réseaux informatiques avec une spécialisation sur les systèmes optiques Laser et Optoélectronique ;
• Expérience dans des environnements réseaux complexes, typés opérateurs télécom ou militaire ou WAN étendus de grands groupes ou d’OIV ;
• Capacité reconnue à concevoir et réaliser des solutions techniques livrées à des clients ;
• Connaissance des problématiques de transmission par laser ainsi que des réseaux IP classiques ;
• Notions d’ingénierie des systèmes complexes ;
• Vous êtes autonome et désireux de porter des sujets innovants ;
• Vous savez travailler en équipes pluridisciplinaires et avez d’excellentes qualités relationnelles ;
• Niveau de négociation en Français et avancé en Anglais.

• Conventional IP network;
• Point to point, point to multipoint, mesh networks, ... ;

You have an interest in IP networks and complex, highly secure communication systems. You are able to demonstrate creativity and have the desire to invest yourself in complex and innovative technical subjects. You will be part of an engineering team responsible for the design and development of future defence communication systems.

The team's current activities are aimed at exploiting the possibilities offered by emerging technologies (laser, quantum, etc.) in the context of secure communications services, on all types of media (satellite, 5G, etc.), using programmable network techniques (SDN).

You will take part as an Architect in the various projects using laser communication means.

This position requires knowledge of the potential risks of non-compliance. The incumbent is committed to acting with integrity as the foundation for the success and sustainable growth of the Company.

This position requires security clearance or eligibility for clearance by recognized authorities.

Duties and responsibilities:

You will have the following tasks:

• You will be responsible for the development and implementation of a new product or service, including the development of a new product or service, as well as the implementation of a new product or service;
• Support pre-sales (e.g. teaching internal teams and customers; proposing technical solutions);
• Modeling solutions or proofs of concept;
• Contribute to the design of solutions for customers (e.g. specification of laser segments; interface with other system components);
• Specify the necessary evolutions of Airbus Defence & Space components to implement these solutions and identify possible new components to develop;
• Ensure the maintenance of all technical documents related to the proposed solutions;
• Support and expertise to the design and system IVQ teams.

Profile:

You have the following education, experience and skills:

• A degree in Engineering (or equivalent) in the field of computer networks with a specialisation in Laser and Optoelectronic optical systems;
• Experience in complex network environments, such as telecom or military operators or extended WANs of large groups or OIVs;
• Proven ability to design and implement technical solutions delivered to customers;
• Knowledge of laser transmission issues as well as classic IP networks;
• Knowledge of complex systems engineering;
• You are autonomous and willing to take on innovative projects;
• You are able to work in multidisciplinary teams and have excellent interpersonal skills;
• Negotiation skills in French and advanced English.
