Google is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) in Applied AI to drive customer AI initiatives from prototype to production-ready solutions at client sites. You will own end-to-end engineering life-cycle, delivering high-impact Conversational AI pilots and establishing Customer User Journeys for large customers with significant travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development using Python or similar coding languages.
• Experience architecting AI systems on cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform (GCP)).
• Experience deploying resources using Terraform or similar tools, to automate the setup of agents, functions, or networking.
• Experience building full-stack applications that interact with enterprise IT infrastructures, and developing external customer projects.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the lead developer for complex Conversational AI and CX applications, transitioning prototypes to production-grade workflows.
• Architect and code conversational flows that connect Google’s AI products with live customer infrastructure.
• Build high-performance evaluation pipelines and observability frameworks to optimize workloads and latency.
• Identify repeatable field patterns and convert them into reusable modules or feature requests for Engineering teams.
• Co-build with customer engineering teams to instill Google-grade development practices and ensure long-term project success.
